With 2019 right around the corner its difficult to imagine what’s next for this rapidly evolving city we call home here in the Pacific Northwest. Silas Blak & Specswizard teaming up on the debut LP from Blakwizard is the only thing we can count on for certain. The buzz surrounding this record has been larger than life, with many blogs and print publications reaching out to find out if the rumors are true. Are Specs & Blak finally working on the long-awaited Blakwizard? A couple decades in the making, this LP will certainly shake the foundation of the Seattle hip hop scene and move us into the new year with a momentum we haven’t seen since that thrift shop guy blew up.

This self-titled LP, fully produced by Specswizard, recorded and mixed by our founder Rob Castro and mastered by Fezzy Harper, will no doubt wake up the younger generation of hip hop heads in Seattle and teach them a thing or two about how we got here. Specs' beats are always on some conjurational magic - gliding, droning, bumping, incorporating environmental noises, etc. Rhymes are most powerful here on The Question - a beautifully melancholy memory drift through old Seattle in the face of the city's gentrification - "First avenue used to smell like Afrosheen".
